Increasing search engine traffic by 523 % in 15 months<\/h1><p>We\u2019ve been contacted by the website Eurobydleni.cz, asked to stop more than a year-long decline in\u00a0traffic\u00a0and to increase it again.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h2>The initial state of the website<\/h2><ul><li>Both the website and the domain have existed for more than a year.<\/li><li>Organic traffic: 36 524 unique visitors per month.<\/li><li>Lots of non-indexed and empty pages. Duplicate or low-quality content on the pages.<\/li><li>Spam-like internal linking with repeated links within 1 page. Functional internal linking, which would help with the growth of high-priority pages and concrete search queries, was missing.<\/li><li>Unoptimized landing pages.<\/li><li>Missing Rich Snippets. On the whole, no one had, up to this point, paid any attention to getting the web to show in search results.<\/li><li>Unoptimised meta tags and headlines. Also without any informational value for the user or the potential to catch his interest.<\/li><li>Duplicate, technical and search pages were indexed.<\/li><li>Multiple faults in the user-friendliness of the website.<\/li><li>The webpage was missing anything which would prolong the time the user spends on it, and lowered the abandonment rate (such as suggestions of other, similar properties).<\/li><li>A harmful predominance of commercial anchors in the website\u2019s link profile<\/li><li>The SSL certificate was missing.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><h2>Our work on the website<\/h2><p>We\u2019ve made an analysis of the link profile, keywords and competition, as well as a technical analysis of the website. Based on that, we\u2019ve separated individual mistakes and shortcomings by the difficulty of their solution. We\u2019ve started with things that would enable us to reach maximum effects with minimal time and financial costs.<\/p><p>We\u2019ve made the search engines index more pages by designing an effective algorithm of automated internal linking, by deleting redundant inner linking on pages we didn\u2019t wish to be indexed, and also by adding quality content on the pages that mattered the most. In terms of form and content, the website started to better match the target visitor queries. The \"weight\" of the website has been evenly spread on the important entry pages.<\/p><p>To increase the click-through rate from the search results and positions, we\u2019ve optimised the meta tags, added more extended labels (everything which was relevant for this project) and\u00a0bread crumbs\u00a0(breadcrumb navigation). The meta tags were filled with important information in addition to keywords.<\/p><p>We\u2019ve prohibited technical and duplicate pages from being indexed and proceeded with overall optimization of the website\u2019s crawl budget. We\u2019ve also created a\u00a0sitemap, containing only the important entry pages. The technical pages were prohibited from indexing.<\/p><p>Furthermore:<\/p><ul><li>We\u2019ve migrated to SSL and a faster\u00a0hosting\u00a0server, and also improved the caching system.<\/li><li>We\u2019ve corrected multiple mistakes on the web. It should be added that the client was quick to respond and actively cooperated with us on everything which needed to be done, which is a rare occurrence\u2026<\/li><li>We\u2019ve come up with several things to keep the visitor on the page for as long as possible.<\/li><li>We\u2019ve improved the search features within the website and also the displaying of similar properties on the specific property sites. If there are no more properties in the given category, the properties from a related category will show up. Now the visitor won\u2019t see any empty pages and has ample opportunities to switch to a different page or category.<\/li><li>The non-functional links referring to the website were either fixed or deleted.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>With each passing month we\u2019ve managed to occupy higher positions for more and more relevant keywords. In the graph below you can see the rise of traffic and the number of keywords for which the web has been indexed in search engines. The data come from Ahrefs.<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/seoprofy.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/\u0421\u043d\u0438\u043c\u043e\u043a-\u044d\u043a\u0440\u0430\u043d\u0430-2019-04-27-\u0432-14.16.44.png\"><br><img class=\"aligncenter wp-image-23389 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/seoprofy.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/\u0421\u043d\u0438\u043c\u043e\u043a-\u044d\u043a\u0440\u0430\u043d\u0430-2019-04-27-\u0432-14.16.44.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1418\" height=\"1110\"><\/a><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h2>Linkbuilding<\/h2><ul><li>We\u2019ve been continually increasing and diversifying the website\u2019s link profile.<\/li><li>We\u2019ve diluted the overabundance of commercial links with non-commercial, non-anchor\u00a0links from blogs and forums.<\/li><li>We\u2019ve managed to gain a number of links from the same websites, which link to our client\u2019s competitor\u2019s sites.<\/li><li>We\u2019ve created more links from authoritative sites, with the necessary anchors leading to the important pages.<\/li><li>We\u2019ve created a PBN (private\u00a0blog\u00a0network) to support the main website.<\/li><li>The non-functional links to the website have been either fixed or redirected to the most relevant existing pages.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>The dynamic growth and the diversity of linking domains brought about a positive result (taken from Ahrefs):<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/seoprofy.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/\u0421\u043d\u0438\u043c\u043e\u043a-\u044d\u043a\u0440\u0430\u043d\u0430-2019-04-27-\u0432-14.16.00.png\"><br><img class=\"aligncenter wp-image-23392 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/seoprofy.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/\u0421\u043d\u0438\u043c\u043e\u043a-\u044d\u043a\u0440\u0430\u043d\u0430-2019-04-27-\u0432-14.16.00.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1426\" height=\"582\"><\/a><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h2>The result<\/h2><p>By 28. 2. 2019, the organic traffic on the web Eurobydleni.cz had risen to 227 850 visitors during the past month. This makes for a 523 % growth in 17 months of our\u00a0SEO\u00a0management.<\/p><ul><li>The traffic stopped decreasing and started stably growing. Currently, the numbers are even higher.<\/li><li>With this website, we\u2019ve managed to reach 10th to 5th position on average in Google and Seznam search engines for high-frequency, competitive queries.<\/li><li>We\u2019ve lowered the volume of visitors leaving the site.<\/li><li>We\u2019ve increased the average number of pages viewed by the visitor.<\/li><\/ul><p>However, there\u2019s still a lot to work on, since the real estate niche is big and very competitive.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/seoprofy.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/eurobydleni-case.jpg\"><img class=\"aligncenter wp-image-23429 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/seoprofy.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/eurobydleni-case.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1888\" height=\"842\"><\/a><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>The graph shown below has been taken from Similarweb.com. We needed to end the drop in traffic and return to our original positions, or even exceed them.\r\n\r\nOur search for a suitable agency began by entering the keyword \"SEO optimization\" into a Google search engine. We excluded all paid advertising links from our search results, leaving only the natural results. This is how we went through the first 3 pages of results. We have removed all large or well-known agencies from these, mainly due to the estimated price. This left us with about 10 suitable results. We contacted all 10 by e-mail, where we described our problem and waited for answers \u2013 whether they saw the problem, whether they could solve it and were interested in cooperating.
